HOW TO PLAY CRAPS

Craps is played with two dice, but don't let its simplicity fool you. Before you roll your "Golden Arm," it's important to understand the rules and strategies for the best payouts. You’ve seen it in the movies—players shaking the dice, perhaps a lucky “blow” from a glamourous woman, and then it’s time to let the dice fly. Now it’s your turn to learn the different types of bets and how to maximize your chances of winning.

BETTING OPTIONS IN CRAPS

PASS LINE BETS: Place these bets before the Come Out Roll. A roll of 7 or 11 wins, while 2, 3, or 12 loses. If 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled, that becomes the point number, and it must be rolled again before a 7 for you to win. These bets pay even money.

DON’T PASS LINE BETS: This is the opposite of a Pass Line Bet. You win if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3, and lose on a 7 or 11. If the Come Out Roll is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the point is set, and a 7 must be rolled before the point number for you to win. A roll of 12 results in a push, returning your bet.

COME BETS: Similar to Pass Line Bets, these bets are placed in the Come bar area after the Come Out Roll. The same rules apply.

DON’T COME BETS: The opposite of a Come Bet, these are placed after the Come Out Roll. You win if a 2 or 3 is rolled, and lose if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11. A roll of 12 results in a push.
